Wednesday 19 June - Free day in Trinity

We got up late and wandered around this small village
A small theatre

We had a good lunch here - lobster and scallops

These "trestles" are used to demonstrate how the codfish were laid out on coniferous branches to dry

It is unusual to find a Victorian mail box this side of the Atlantic

We watched a gull fly over a road, about 50 feet up and dropped this sea urchin on to the hard asphalt. It landed, picked up the soft part and quickly took off.

The gulls also eat crabs by dropping them on a hard surface

The lighthouse was quite close but it would have taken a very long time to walk around the several inlets to get to it.

This is as close as we were able to get to the light house

Strong use of bright colors is very effective.
