We walked down to Au Pied de Cochon which is close to St-Eustache/Les Halles
The Louis Vuiton store on the rue de St-Honore was well decorated with a large tree and branches. Don't know whether it is merely for the holiday season or more permanent. It is eye catching.
We had a reservation which gave us a good table upstairs. Plenty of room and the other diners were well spaced away.
The onion soup au gratin is always good here with a deep layer of gooey cheese
Mary had scallops
I had rognons flambe
Dessert was creme Chantilly with coffee
I had the cafe gourmand
The bill came with meringue pigs
The meal was very good with a half bottle of Alsace Reisling and a half bottle of Chinon
Afterwards we walked down to city hall to see the exhibition of photographs of Paris which was interesting but nothing special.
