We walked along to Montmartre and looked for a restaurant for lunch.

We had lunch at Le Vrai Paris which was fine but nothing special |
Both funicular cabins were in operation at Montmartre - for the first time on a couple of years |

Sacre Coeur was good without the crowds |
The number 30 bus then took us to the Trocadero. Going across the Etoile is always fun as the buses feel they have the priority and zoom right into the middle and out again. We only had one narrow escape with a motor bike - pretty tame.
The Tour Eiffel is always impressive from the Trocadero but there are always hoards of Asian tourists doing silly things for their interminable cameras. |
This pigeon insisted on a selfie |
This picture of the Invalides was what I was trying to get after the pigeon moved on |
It is surprisingly easy to get away from the tourists and the attendant pickpockets. On the north east side of the Trocadero is this good water effect. |
We walked back along rue Iena to the Etoile then made our way back through Monceau where the school was letting out with parents and nannies waiting to pick up the kids. There was a lot of activity that had caused the parrots to fly around.
