Wednesday 2 January - Parc Montsouris

Again dry and cool today, good for walking.  Montsouris park is quite extensive and we were greeted by several parakeets just as we entered.  The main pond had some herons, a black swan and many ducks, gulls and moorhens.
The decorative reinforced concrete fencing is always interesting
In the past we have found the restaurant Chin Chin on the edge of Montsouris Park to be quite good - not this time. The service was unfriendly and the food was not particularly good although the scallops were fine.
Scallops snackee
My lamb was overcooked and the potato puree was unappetizing. DON'T GO THERE AGAIN.

After lunch we went back through the park and out to the boulevard on the south side and walked along to the Porte de Vanves metro.  Mary went straight back while I stopped off at the Gare St-Lazare.  BB 17075 brought in a train from Mantes la Jolie around 1530 and returned back at 1612.

Taggers have been busy on this stainless steel set which will shortly be withdrawn

Seen from the Europe bridge, 17075 is propelling a train back to Mantes la Jolie.
